We apply optical techniques to explore and exploit the way light interacts with matter. Our experiments include spectroscopic analysis of gases, photolysis, and reaction dynamics, as well as manipulation of colloidal systems using optical tweezers.


Welcome back to Katherine Manfred who is back in Oxford as a post-doc in Earth Sciences (but we are hoping to steal her and her fantastic baking back to the PTCL!).


Jennifer and Nick have returned from San Diego after an exciting trip to work on a collaborative study with pulmonary physiologists at UCSD.
