Grant was an undergraduate and DPhil student at Trinity College, Oxford. He then became a Junior Research Fellow at St. John's College, Oxford, before winning a prestigious Royal Society Fellowship. He is now Professor of Chemistry and the John and Patricia Danby Tutorial Fellow in Chemistry at Worcester College. Grant is also the head of section for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry. Teaching
Grant teaches all aspects of the Physical Chemistry course to undergraduates at Worcester College, Oxford. He also lectures to all undergraduate chemists on Quantum Mechanics and Atmospheric Chemistry.
